iOS 26.4 Brings New Option for Personalizing Liquid Glass Effect

### ‘Minimize Bright Effects’ is a New UI Option in iOS 26.4

iOS 26.4 brings a noteworthy improvement to user interface customization with the newly introduced ‘Minimize Bright Effects’ option. This feature enables users to turn off various bright flashing components typically linked to the Liquid Glass design, ensuring a more pleasant user experience.

The Liquid Glass design, first introduced in iOS 26, has seen multiple enhancements. Significantly, iOS 26.1 rolled out an option within the Display & Brightness settings, allowing users to transition from the standard ‘Clear’ design to a softer ‘Tinted’ appearance reminiscent of iOS 18. This change has been widely appreciated, as it aids users in reverting to a familiar aesthetic.

With the launch of iOS 26.4, Apple has made further strides to bolster user control over the interface. The ‘Minimize Bright Effects’ option specifically addresses the bright flashing feedback that occurs when engaging with certain UI elements. This can be especially advantageous for users who might find these effects disruptive or unpleasant.

To activate the ‘Minimize Bright Effects’ switch, users can go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. This new feature, along with the previously available tinted option, creates a more tailored iPhone experience that better aligns with designs prior to iOS 26.

As users get accustomed to the modifications in iOS 26, the addition of the ‘Minimize Bright Effects’ option encourages feedback on the overall experience. Whether users opt to enable this new feature may hinge on their personal preferences concerning the visual aspects of the Liquid Glass interface.

Apple TV to Wrap Up Three Series This Week: Information on the Last Episodes

Apple TV’s schedule of weekly releases will change significantly after this week, as three shows have just aired their season finales.

## Shrinking, The Hunt, and The Last Thing He Told Me all now have season finales available

If you’ve gotten used to certain new Apple TV shows releasing episodes weekly, next week will require a change in your viewing habits.

This is due to three Apple TV series having aired season finales this week:

– [Shrinking](https://9to5mac.com/2025/12/30/shrinking-season-3-is-coming-soon-and-the-new-trailer-looks-excellent/), the Bill Lawrence comedy, has completed its third season.
– [The Hunt](https://9to5mac.com/2026/02/19/delayed-apple-tv-thriller-gets-new-release-date-after-plagiarism-inquiry/), the French-language thriller, has finished its first season as well.
– [The Last Thing He Told Me](https://9to5mac.com/2025/11/05/apple-tvs-hit-thriller-with-jennifer-garner-is-coming-back-soon/), the Jennifer Garner mystery drama, aired its season 2 finale today.

Each show has officially concluded—at least for the time being.

Newer Apple TV releases that will be ongoing include [Your Friends & Neighbors season 2](https://9to5mac.com/2026/04/02/apple-tv-has-one-of-its-biggest-hit-series-returning-today/), [Imperfect Women](https://9to5mac.com/2026/03/12/new-apple-tv-prestige-thriller-is-coming-next-week-and-reviews-are-in/), and [Monarch: Legacy of Monsters](https://9to5mac.com/2026/02/03/apple-tv-has-hit-sci-fi-series-returning-soon-new-trailer-here/). Next week, the well-received comedy [Margo’s Got Money Troubles](https://9to5mac.com/2026/03/13/apple-tvs-star-packed-new-comedy-sounds-like-a-winner-per-reviews/) will join the lineup.

What lies ahead for Apple’s shows that just concluded? Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

## What’s next for each Apple TV series that has concluded?

Among the three shows mentioned, only one is anticipated to return for another season.

Shrinking season 4 is [already confirmed](https://9to5mac.com/2026/01/27/shrinking-is-officially-getting-a-season-4-on-apple-tv/) to be on the way.

Earlier this week, co-creator Bill Lawrence [shared thrilling updates](https://9to5mac.com/2026/04/08/shrinking-creator-explains-finale-ending-confirms-season-4-cast-and-time-jump/) regarding expectations. Most importantly, he indicated that the entire ensemble cast will be back for another season—including Harrison Ford.

However, for The Hunt and The Last Thing He Told Me, the finales this week are probably the last episodes we’ll ever see.

The Hunt has a complex background.

Apple initially presented the series as an original concept, only to later [pull it](https://9to5mac.com/2025/11/20/another-apple-tv-show-has-been-pulled-from-the-release-schedule-at-the-last-minute/) from its release schedule at the last moment due to plagiarism allegations. It was [reportedly influenced](https://9to5mac.com/2026/02/19/delayed-apple-tv-thriller-gets-new-release-date-after-plagiarism-inquiry/) by Douglas Fairbairn’s novel *Shoot*—which Apple was unaware of. After reaching a rights agreement, the series received a new premiere date.

While a second season could theoretically occur, the tumult surrounding the show’s origins makes this unlikely.

The Last Thing He Told Me also draws from novels as its source material. The first season was [inspired by the novel](https://amzn.to/47TEAxq) of the same title by author Laura Dave. Its second season was [founded on the sequel](https://amzn.to/4mswC4u) that was released earlier this year.

Although a third book could potentially be written in the future, the show [hasn’t been](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/the_last_thing_he_told_me) particularly well-received by critics or audiences. Therefore, it’s a reasonable assumption that Apple won’t be disappointed to see it conclude here.
